This will be the fifth of six overall 12×9″ canvases to be part of Poto Studios’ light night exhibition in May, this time working from images of Anthony Gormleys ‘Another Place’ installation on Crosby beach…
Another piece to be part of Poto Studios’ light night exhibition in May, this time working from images of the Liverpool Playhouse…
This will be my last time here for February but I think I’d come back in future as last week wasn’t bad – Here is last weeks set up:
This is the second of six themed pieces I am be doing for the studio’s Light Night exhibition this coming May. This particular piece will also be on a 12×9″ box canvas.
Original photo I found online to paint, of which I am only going to add two major components:

Decided, when things are relatively quiet, to start painting a series of classic comedy moments from TV history. First up, the iconic “fork handles / four candles” Two Ronnies sketch…
Hoping it’s a little busier this Sunday with browsers and buyers rather than just brunchers & boozers like last Sunday! 😀
Same time, 12pm till 6pm but I’ll have a different range
This was last weeks stall:
My first stall of 2017 will be just a couple of streets away from the studio I work out of in the Baltic Quarter in Liverpool. It’s at the Camp and Furnace and i’ll be there between 12pm and 6pm
After backing the Atlanta Falcons to win Superbowl LI back in December (when they were 18/1), they have pretty much cruised all the way to the final with an accomplished win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday in the NFC Championship game to cap it off.
So it is a no-brainer that I paint their MVP-favourite Quarterback Matt Ryan (“Matty Ice”) who has led them this far. It would be nice if they win the Superbowl but coming up against the New England Patriots is not going to be easy!
Riding the crest of an inspirational wave, I’ve finally gotten round to painting one of my all time favourite films, ‘Gladiator’. It’s a Saturday night and I’m home painting – couldn’t be happier.
