I’m going to paint this fantastic photograph of my nan and give it as a Christmas present to my dad. She looks like royalty on this photo, it’s perfect…
Can’t wait to be back here, it has really become an excellent event of late.
Open 11am till 5pm
13/11/16: ahhh my good run of business here came grinding to a halt today, and I can’t say it is because nobody turned up! It was nice and busy but it just wasnt my day today. Still, i’ll be back on 10th December to make amends
Back in Woolton for the first time in a good while…
12/11/16: Not a bad little day overall! I walked there with all my gear on my back and it took 1hr05 (a new record!). Made a few little sales and one decent one so it was probably the best I’ve ever done at Woolton so far. Good times!
This should be an interesting event indeed, in a great setting!
Open from 10:30am till 4pm.
Another piece started at 11pm on a weekend night when my overactive brain kicks in!!
Again, on a 12×9″ box canvas.
Another visit “home”, looking forward to this as ever.
This is going to incorporate some photos I purposely took on Monday 18th…
11pm on a Saturday night and I suddenly get inspired to paint Sigourney Weaver as “Dana/Zool” in “Ghostbusters”. This is going to be another hybrid piece but with a more sustainable theme that I am going to run through my next few pieces.
How I came to start painting this is down to fate I think, or brainwashing…my first day in the new studio on Wednesday and my studio buddy Ilan played Mick Smiley’s “Magic” from the original “Ghostbusters” soundtrack (TREMENDOUS SONG).
Then last night I was watching the making of Aliens starring none other than Sigourney Weaver!
So tonight when this image came up in a Google search, I instantly KNEW it had to be painted!
11:30am till 2:30pm – a short but intense 3 hours which is always enjoyable! Really looking forward to being back here!
