A little bit about me...

"Well...I was born in Liverpool back in the late 20th century, and I have lived here all of my life. I live in Old Swan with my fiancee and our little jack russell terrier. Two beauties!  Our house has a converted attic which I currently use as my painting studio/office.

I took up painting, quite literally out of the blue, back in April 2013, because I needed to find a hobby that would stop me wasting my time & money playing online poker - it worked and I became instantly hooked on painting!

After a year or so of development, I decided to take one final gamble and leave my steady sales job to risk a career in portrait painting.  It was the best decision I have ever made!

Most of my time consists of painting recognisable subjects for sale under the 'I Con Art' branding, which you may unwittingly be familiar with - since 2016 I have been selling fine art prints, cards & merchandise online via Etsy, in gift shops & local post offices. I also have my work on sale at all of the 'Red Brick Market' sites across the UK.

Whilst I like this commercial side of things, I absolutely love being commissioned to create special, meaningful paintings for clients. There is no greater feeling than putting your heart and soul into a very sentimental subject and then seeing tears of joy on the client's face when they receive the finished painting! That's what art is about, for me. Getting a reaction"
